Terry Coplin, Chief Executive Officer
Terry Coplin's experience includes serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agate Healthcare, Inc., a holding company for Lane Individual Practice Association (Lipa). Mr. Coplin supervises and coordinates all company operations, and together with other members of the management team, directs and coordinates all planning, administrative and financial functions. Mr. Coplin has more than 15 years of experience in financial and administrative management of medical groups as well as health plan design and development. He holds degrees in mathematics and medical technology, as well as a master's degree in business from Gonzaga University.


David L. Cole, Chief Financial Officer
David Cole has served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Lipa since 1997. Mr. Cole received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Oregon. In 1994 Mr. Cole received his Certified Public Account license and became a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Cole brings over 12 years experience in the healthcare field to Lipa and Agate. In his capacity as CFO he has been involved with company development, monitoring and preparing financial reports, as well as negotiating the terms of healthcare contracts. Mr. Cole currently serves on the Board and is the Treasurer for HIV Alliance of Lane County.


John E. Sattenspiel, M.D. Chief Medical Officer
Dr. John Sattenspiel joined the Lipa team in 2006 after 24 years of private practice family medicine. Since 1982, Dr. Sattenspiel has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and in 2002 was elected by its Congress of Delegates to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors. He served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and received the 2001 Master Teacher Award and the 2002 Alumni Association Meritorious Achievement Award from the Department of Family Medicine. A board certified family physician, Dr. Sattenspiel received his bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Arizona. He completed his family medicine residency at OHSU in Portland Oregon.


Shannon Conley, Senior Vice President of Medicaid and Medicare Services
Shannon Conley brings 15 years of healthcare experience to Lipa and exceptional knowledge centered on Medicaid and Medicare programs. Ms. Conley participated in the successful launch of a new Medicare program in 2007 and the oversight of the Operations Department for the Medicaid program. Shannon thrives on innovation, the development of business strategies and is experienced in building work teams that enhance long term business goals. Ms. Conley is also responsible for the management of the Marketing Department, marketing activities and she is an expert in the development of policies, procedures and processes in accordance with regulatory agencies. Ms. Conley volunteers extensively in the community and works with the North Eugene Dance Team in a fundraising capacity and serves on the Medical Access Program Committee, Senior Companions and Successful Aging Institute Council, and Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Council.


Cassandra C. SkinnerLopata, General Counsel
Cassandra C. SkinnerLopata is the General Counsel for Agate Healthcare, parent company of Lipa. She also serves as Program Director for Medicaid Services. Cass brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. She earned her law degree at the University of Oregon, where she had also completed post-baccalaureate studies in pre-medical sciences. She started her own law firm in 2007 and has graded bar exams for the Board of Bar Examiners of the Oregon State Bar for the past three years. She is a current member of the Oregon State Bar, the Lane County Bar Association, Lane County Women Lawyers, the Oregon Gay and Lesbian Law Association, The Oregon Minority Lawyers Association, and is a board member of Oregon Women Lawyers and Head Start of Lane County. Cass also serves as a commissioner for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. She also serves as a quarterly guest speaker for the University of Oregon Student Health Center's Peer Health Education Program. Cass also remains actively involved with the Eugene-Springfield community. Most recently she was a recipient of the 2010 Rising Business Stars Award from the Register-Guard / Blue Chip business magazine. The award recognizes her professional excellence and significant contributions to the community through her work with the Stop Violence Against Women Clinic Project and the Governor's Council on Domestic Violence, among others.
